Ginkō included fourteen pages of flower and (or) bird pictures, plus pages depicting many other subjects, in an 1891 picture book entitled Bijutsu Ginkō Gafu (i.e, Picture Album of Fine Art by Ginkō). The flower-bird pictures are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Ginkō drew the shapes of flowers and birds accurately and added sufficient surface detail to make their identification relatively easy, even though their coloration was not true to life.
